Our new guests seem to be settling in fine. They were offering their help around the place, doing stocktaking and even helping in the monitoring room, which is now being watched 24/7.|
Nothing seems to be happening on air, although some of the smaller stations that were on automated music are starting to go off. Probably due to lack of maintenance.
I spent most of the day on the roof with Ana, who still isn't talking very much. I don't blame her, honestly.
What some of us have seen was pretty messed up. I'm sure others have seen worse.
We're on day 1 of the Low Tide, and as such there are far less of them coming in from the south. They're a wide bunch of people, all in varying stages of decomposition. Some you can see who they were, others... Not so, as they seem to have lost most of their faces as if they were scratched... Or more likely, bitten.
Occasionally there are some who are badly burnt, but it doesn't slow them down.
The fires in the city are still burning, and probably will for some time yet with no-one to put them out. Most of the firefighters who were sent to put out some of the smaller ones are probably still wandering around out there.
